XMiles supporting Team PTSD UK

XMiles supporting Team PTSD UK

We’re honoured to be sponsored by XMiles to help our fundraising supporters who are part of Team PTSD UK taking on challenges in 2022!

XMiles is an Independent Endurance Sports Store, providing nutritional goods to increase performance and recovery, apparel, and accessories, operating online and in-store. They provide high quality and exclusive goods to elite and newbie athletes. The team of nutrition advisers and runners at XMiles offer their advice and guidance through their blog and personal picks.

XMiles was founded in 2014 by GB and England international Ultra Runner Anthony Clark, representing his country at the highest-level racing 100k road ultras with an 8th overall and M40 world title at the 2018 IAU 100k World Championships.

Anthony started his journey back in 2007 as an IT Professional. Unhappy with his weight, he began running. He competed in his first race, a 10K, two months after starting, and never looked back. In 2009, he competed in his first marathon and kept going to compete in his first Ultra in 2011.

After his time spent racing around the world, he decided to take the big step in changing professions to become a Nutrition Advisor. Anthony got his Advanced Diploma Nutrition and Weight Management, and Nutrition Specialist Diploma.

Inspired by his journey and wanting to share his knowledge, he opened up XMiles…

XMiles will be supporting PTSD UK in 2022 by supplying nutrition packs for their fundraising supporters to help them train, recover and energise their performance on race day!

We’re so grateful to Anthony and the team at XMiles for their support! Visit their website now: xmiles.co.uk

PTSD UK Supporters Store

100% of the profits from everything in our online Supporters Store goes directly to our mission – to help everyone affected by PTSD in the UK, no matter the trauma that caused it.

Treatments for PTSD

It is possible for PTSD to be successfully treated many years after the traumatic event occurred, which means it is never too late to seek help. For some, the first step may be watchful waiting, then exploring therapeutic options such as individual or group therapy – but the main treatment options in the UK are psychological treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Traumatic events can be very difficult to come to terms with, but confronting and understanding your feelings and seeking professional help is often the only way of effectively treating PTSD. You can find out more in the links below, or here.
