Virtual Runner UK | Half Marathon Challenge
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to run the Great North Run – but I’ve never been successful in a ballot place, yet.
But one of our incredible supporters, Stacey, nominated PTSD UK to be the chosen charity for this years ‘The Greatest 13.1 September challenge 2018’ from Virtual Runner UK.
Virtual Running gives you the power to raise awareness and funds for your favourite charities whilst completing a running challenge – but more at your own pace and at a time that suits you. AND you get a super bling medal for your trouble!
With this great challenge from the lovely folks at Virtual Runner UK, you can feel like you’re a little part of one of the World’s largest half marathons taking place in Newcastle on 9th September 2018!
This race is open to everyone and you can run or walk as far as you can (broken down in as many events as you like) but you must reach a minimum of the half marathon distance (21.08km) between 3rd – 9th September 2018 to earn your exclusive medal!
It costs just £12 to sign up to the challenge, and PTSD UK will receive a minimum of 20% of every race entry fee. Why not go once step further and set up a Facebook Fundraiser or Total Giving page and get your friends and family to sponsor your challenge?
Everyone who takes part in this (and shouts about it as loud as possible!) is helping raise awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and our charity – and any funds you raise help us achieve our missions – so thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sign up now, get those running shoes on, and run like the wind! 🙂
(By the way, if running a half marathon seems too much, why not sign up to their Pizza Run for October which also has PTSD UK as the chosen race charity – you can get your in-demand medal by walking or running any distance you choose!)
