Remind and PTSD UK announce official partnership

Today, Remind and PTSD UK are proud to announce an official partnership — bringing together the UK’s leading PTSD charity and a trauma support app built by a survivor, for survivors.

This isn’t a partnership that started at the finish line. PTSD UK has been involved in shaping remind from the beginning – contributing to user research, testing features, and ensuring the app reflects the real experience of living with PTSD and C-PTSD. The result is a tool built on evidence, built with community and clinical expertise. It is available 24/7 for the moments when everything else is closed.

The data tells the story:

  • Our data shows grounding tools help users 9 times out of 10. That’s not hope. That’s real.
  • 85% of users call Remind a key part of their mental health toolkit. Not a nice-to-have — essential.
  • 3 in 5 sessions happen outside office hours. Because PTSD isn’t 9–5. Neither are we, digital support 24/7.

Remind works alongside NHS treatment, private therapy, or as standalone support for those still waiting to access clinical care.

“I built remind after my own experience of PTSD following the 2017 London Bridge attack. I needed tools that worked at 2am, during the commute, at work, out with friends. Having PTSD UK shape the app with us — not just endorse it — means everything. This is just the beginning.” Freya Hickman, Founder, Remind Health

“At PTSD UK, we only put our name to things we genuinely believe will help our community. Remind meets that bar — built by someone who understands trauma from the inside, and shaped with our community from the start. We’re proud to recommend it.” Jacqui Suttie MBE, Founder, PTSD UK

Treatments for PTSD

It is possible for PTSD to be successfully treated many years after the traumatic event occurred, which means it is never too late to seek help. For some, the first step may be watchful waiting, then exploring therapeutic options such as individual or group therapy – but the main treatment options in the UK are psychological treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Traumatic events can be very difficult to come to terms with, but confronting and understanding your feelings and seeking professional help is often the only way of effectively treating PTSD. You can find out more in the links below, or here.
