The Great North Run is officially the largest half marathon in the world, attracting over 60,000 runners ever year!
We are so excited to be able to offer a number of opportunities for you to pound the streets of Gateshead, Newcastle and the North East at this iconic event, all whilst supporting PTSD UK!

Great North Run
The route
The Great North Run is famous for its inclusive atmosphere, unbeatable on-route entertainment and warm Geordie welcome, not to mention the millions raised each year for worthy causes. From the rush of the Red Arrows flying overhead to the oggy-oggy-oggy chants, Great North Run magic can be hard to understand – until you’ve experienced it for yourself on the Newcastle to South Shields route.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re running to beat your personal best, to raise some cash for charity or simply for the pint at the end, you’re guaranteed a run like no other – and a finish line feeling you’ll never forget.
