Fundraiser Resources and Templates

Firstly, thank you so much for your support! Honestly, we’re over the moon to have you on board our incredible team of supporters. Every penny you raise or donate helps us fulfil Our Mission to help everyone in the UK affected by PTSD and C-PTSD, no matter the trauma that caused it.

We’re humbled that you’d like to fundraise for PTSD UK, and we’re here to help make that as easy as possible for you.

This page has a number of templates, documents and resources to help you as you fundraise for PTSD UK. We’re continually updating this page, but if there’s anything missing, or more we can do to support you, please let us know!

Corporate Sponsorship letter

This letter template can be updated and adjusted by you with all your event details, and can help in getting corporate sponsors for your fundraiser. This might be in the form of a financial donation, or with items to help you at your event e.g. walking boots, running shoes, baking equipment etc.

  • Download the letter template here in Word or pdf.

Press Release

Press releases are a great way of telling the world about what you’re up to! You can adjust all the details in this template and then send it on to any local newspapers, radio stations and TV shows that you think might be interested in covering your story! Be sure to send them some clear photos of you (maybe even in a PTSD UK t-shirt!) along with the release too!

  • Download the press release template here in Word or pdf.

Sponsorship Form

This form can be used in addition to any online fundraising you’re doing. It helps gather the details of your sponsors so that we can claim Gift Aid on their donations (means we get an additional 25p for every £1 from the UK Government, at no extra cost to you or your friend!). If you don’t have access to a printer and need us to send you some physical copies, please just let us know

Social Media images

If you’re planning to share your fundraiser on social media, it can be really helpful to have some images to go with it. If you happy to do so, why not share some photos of you, perhaps training or prepping for your event, to let people see what you’re doing? If you’d rather, you can use these images here – shout loud and proud to your friends and family about what you’re doing!

Treatments for PTSD

It is possible for PTSD to be successfully treated many years after the traumatic event occurred, which means it is never too late to seek help. For some, the first step may be watchful waiting, then exploring therapeutic options such as individual or group therapy – but the main treatment options in the UK are psychological treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Traumatic events can be very difficult to come to terms with, but confronting and understanding your feelings and seeking professional help is often the only way of effectively treating PTSD. You can find out more in the links below, or here.
