I’d like to fundraise

I'd like to fundraise for PTSD UK

Thank you so much for your support!

We’re really excited to hear you’re planning an event to fundraise and help raise awareness – thank you!!

We’d love to help in any way we can to make your event or challenge a huge success, so please let us know if there is anything specific that we can do.

In the meantime, there are a variety of platforms available for you to set up online fundraising pages such as Just Giving, Facebook or Just Giving. If you’d rather use a paper form to collect pledges, we have a template that you can download here.

To submit funds you have already raised please see our donations page.

If you need support for an upcoming fundraising event, or a challenge you’re participating in, or just to let us know what you’re up to, please contact us using the form below. We’re looking forward to hearing more!

    Treatments for PTSD

It is possible for PTSD to be successfully treated many years after the traumatic event occurred, which means it is never too late to seek help. For some, the first step may be watchful waiting, then exploring therapeutic options such as individual or group therapy – but the main treatment options in the UK are psychological treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Traumatic events can be very difficult to come to terms with, but confronting and understanding your feelings and seeking professional help is often the only way of effectively treating PTSD. You can find out more in the links below, or here.
